Bandligo — Privacy Policy

1. Who This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of Bandligo (the "Platform"), whether you are an adult musician, band leader, instructor, Admin, or a Student under 18 participating through a music school or program. Section 7 (Children's Privacy) provides additional protections and parental rights that apply specifically where a user is under 18.

2. Information We Collect

When you use Bandligo, we collect:

• Account information: name and email address, provided when you create an account or are invited to join a band.
• Usage data: songs you suggest, votes you cast, set lists you build, and notes you add. This information may be visible to other members of your band and, where relevant, to Admins.
• Uploaded content: any charts, lead sheets, or images uploaded to the Platform.

We do not request or require personal information beyond what is reasonably necessary to provide the Platform (e.g., we do not collect date of birth, home address, or payment information through the app).

3. How We Use Information

Information is used solely to operate the Platform: - To identify you to other members of your band - To display votes, suggestions, and set lists - To allow Admins to manage the song library and bands - To enable password reset and account recovery via email

We do not use personal information to serve targeted or behavioral advertising, and we do not sell personal information to third parties.

4. Information Sharing

• Your name and activity (votes, suggestions, set lists you mark as official) are visible to other members of your band and to your band's/organization's Admins.
• Personal set lists you create are stored on your own device and are not shared with anyone else, including Admins, unless you choose to share them.
• We do not share information with third parties except as necessary to operate the Platform (e.g., our cloud hosting and authentication provider, Google Firebase, which stores account and app data on our behalf as a service provider).
• We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of users.

5. Adult Users

Most provisions of this policy apply equally to all users. Adult users (band leaders, instructors, Admins, and adult musicians) may exercise the rights described in Section 6 directly for their own accounts at any time by contacting support@bandligo.com.

6. Your Choices and Rights (All Users)

• You may update your name via your account.
• You may reset your password at any time using the "Forgot password" feature.
• You may request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your personal information by contacting support@bandligo.com.
• You may close your account at any time, which will remove your access to the Platform; certain band/library data you contributed (e.g., suggested songs, official set lists) may remain associated with the band as it is shared organizational content.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Where the Platform is used by Students under 18, typically through a music school, studio, or program (the "Educational Institution"), this section applies in addition to the rest of this policy, consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA").

Students under 13: - An account for a Student under 13 may only be created with verifiable parental consent, or by the Educational Institution acting on behalf of parents after providing appropriate notice. - We collect only the minimum information necessary (name and email) to operate a Student account. - We do not use information collected from Students under 13 for any purpose other than providing and securing the Platform, and we do not serve advertising to Students under 13. - A parent or guardian may, at any time: - Review the personal information collected from their child - Request correction of inaccurate information - Request deletion of their child's account and associated information - Refuse to permit further collection of their child's information (which may result in the account being deactivated)

by contacting the Educational Institution or support@bandligo.com.

Students 13–17: - We apply the same data-minimization and no-targeted-advertising practices described above to all Student accounts regardless of age. - We recommend Educational Institutions inform parents or guardians of 13–17 year olds about the Platform's use as part of normal program communications.

8. Educational Institution Relationship

Where the Platform is provided to Students through an Educational Institution, the Institution: - Determines which Students are given access to the Platform - Is responsible for obtaining any consent required from parents or guardians before a Student's account is created (see Section 7 for Students under 13) - May request that we restrict, export, or delete data associated with its Students

Where information collected through the Platform constitutes an "education record" under FERPA, we will handle that information consistent with the Educational Institution's obligations under FERPA.

9. Data Storage and Security

• Account and app data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Realtime Database/Storage services), a widely used cloud platform with industry-standard security practices.
• Access to band and library data requires a signed-in account; access is restricted based on each user's role (Admin or band member) via server-side security rules.
• While we take reasonable steps to protect data, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

• Account information is retained while the account is active.
• An Admin can remove a user's access to a band at any time.
• To request deletion of an account and associated personal information, contact support@bandligo.com or (for minors) the Educational Institution. Personal set lists stored on a user's own device can be cleared at any time within the app and are not retained by us.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to Admins, who are responsible for informing their members and, where applicable, parents/guardians.
